C&S Wholesale Grocers and their family of companies are dedicated to feeding local families, neighbors, and communities. As a Warehouse Selector, you will be responsible for picking, gathering, organizing products, and preparing orders for delivery to local customers.

Compensation & Schedule

• Base Pay: $19.00 per hour
• Freezer Premium: +$4.00 per hour
• Total Starting Rate: $23.00 per hour (with additional earning potential after training)
• Average Pay: Selectors earn $26.00 per hour on average
• Shift Availability:
  • 1st Shift: 6:00 AM - Until work is finished
  • 2nd Shift: 7:00 PM - Until work is finished
• Shift Length: 10-12 hours
• Workweek: 4 to 5 days (Sunday required)
• Employee Shuttle Service: Available for day and night shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Pick various items using order sheets or an audio headset.
• Stack items on pallets for wrapping and loading at bay doors.
• Ensure accuracy of orders while adhering to safety standards.
• Operate a double walkie-rider or electric pallet jack to remove cases from storage racks, place on pallets, and apply selection labels (if applicable).
• Utilize proper wrapping techniques to ensure product safety.
• Inform Supervisor of any discrepancies in case quantity or description.
• Perform equipment inspections and complete required forms.
• Safely lift varying case weights, shapes, and heights.
• Follow all material handling equipment safety procedures.

Physical Requirements

• Continual standing, bending, pulling, lifting, and pivoting (up to 90% of the shift).
• Walking 6-12 miles per day on surfaces including concrete, tile, and carpet.
• Frequently lifting products weighing between 1 - 60+ lbs.
• Lifting products from floor to overhead.
• Possibility of working on multiple levels of varying height.
• Safe handling of sharp objects, including box-cutting tools.
